We are a group of recovering addicts who found Narcotics Anonymous and within NA, a new way to live. The addicts who participate on our message boards and in our chatroom have come here from a variety of other online recovery web sites. We are members of Narcotics Anonymous by choice; "The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using." This is the new location of our website - the previous site at www.narecoverychat.org went down and we have not been able to recover access to the domain or website at this time. We hope to make this site accessible at the original URL as soon as possible. You will need to create a new account in the forums as we have lost the previous users and posts in the forums. Online meetings at NA Recovery Chat are held in the 24/7 live chat each night at 9:00 pm EST. Come and share your experience, strength, and hope!

We have come together in this online recovery community to help support each other in our recovery. We have addicts from all over the planet who come here to our Narcotics Anonymous chat-room and forums to share their experience, strength and hope with each other. We know that being a member of NA means that we never have to be alone again. The isolation of active addiction is replaced by the fellowship of NA ~ friends who know what we've been through and what it's like now.

We don't encourage anyone to use online meetings as a substitute for face to face meetings in their hometown or area. The miracle of one addict helping another addict to find recovery is how NA works. The chat room operators here can provide addicts seeking recovery with links to NA literature, face to face Narcotics Anonymous meeting times and locations, and an assortment of information to help addicts find recovery.

We share a common bond no matter what drug or drugs we chose to use...that bond is that we are people who survived a common disaster - the disaster of active addiction. Together we can find recovery from this devastating disease. Narcotics Anonymous only has one promise; "Freedom from active addiction." NA is a spiritual program to treat a spiritual disease - addiction. One need not be religious to find recovery. NA has no ties to religious organizations, and belief in a traditional god of the religious variety is not a prerequisite for recovery.

Our Message is that "an addict, any addict, can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use, and find a new way to live." To that end, NA Recovery Chat seeks to fulfill the primary purpose of every NA Group by establishing avenues of communication between addicts where recovery is enhanced. In keeping with that, NA Recovery Chat sponsors many online meetings (9) every week.
